I ordered two dozen raw oysters for appetizer (first dozen was really fresh that I ordered another dozen) and grilled fish as the dinner, and they were both really fresh and great!.

The food and service was very good. The dining area was kind of loud but all in all I would eat there again.

Food was delicious and plentiful. I will be stopping in again..thank you. Great Service.

Arrived 5:20 on a Friday & there was a wait. Got drinks & waited. Worth the wait! I'm a Texas Gulf coast girl & know both southern & coastal cooking. These folks know their business!! Hubbie started w/ clam chowder (not experts in) & it was great. I had fried oysters, very juicy, turnip greens & black eyed peas. The greens & black eyes were right on. Hubbie then had the fried crab claws which were great. He finished w/key lime pie. He is really a task master when it comes to key lime. Just say'in. He liked it but it was too sweet for his taste. Wish we had a Dave's back home in TX.

I have eaten here several times and the food has always been wonderful the service has been great it's clean seems to run pretty smooth everybody knows what to do and they take good care of you and they're very efficient

Nom nom nom. How happy was I to find this spot on my recent trip to Gulf Breeze? Um: very happy! I was craving some oysters and Yelp told me to go to Dave's. So I did. I arrived for lunch, shortly after they opened, and took at seat at the bar. Soon, a pint of Yuengling was in my hand an a heaping tray of shucked-in-front-of-me oysters was beckoning. I noticed, in the south, they tend to offer a lot of extras with your oysters. Being from the PNW, I prefer them pretty plain and without a lot of fluff (like multiple sauces, and crackers). These oysters were incredibly fresh and so delicious. And they were so affordable! After my oysters, I gobbled down a bowl of their incredibly authentic and delicious house-made gumbo. It was incredible! I would absolutely love to come back here again next time I'm in the area, as there was a lot on the menu I'd love to try again.

THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD!! I had the Cobia fish tacos, the fish was a little dry. The tortilla and salad were really good. The STAR of the show was the pickled onions, there was something so delicious in them! SERIOUSLY They should get a gold ribbon. The Service was exceptional. Our waitress was so nice and polite and knowledgeable. The ambiance was great. It made us very relaxed . We felt very comfortable there. The Place looked very clean and its decorated tasteful.

It's essentially become a ritual. When in the Pensacola area, I will go to Dave's for oyster stew. It's just that good. Spicy, full of oyster meat, and warming. I'd eat a bowl every day if I were a local. Dave's remains an easy going, casual place, and it never seems overrun with customers. Feels like a hidden gem.

(8/23/23 update!!) I finally made it back in town and this time we brought even more family members to enjoy this highly anticipated Dave's Oyster Bar trip!! It was only 4:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon but the parking lot was already packed. Parking is definitely limited if it's busy. One thing we noticed, the parking lot was packed with gravel and oyster shells. That was something I didn't notice on my first time here. We had a huge party and was seated right away! We were starving from the beach and started with some appetizers. The appetizers we ordered were the following: Calamari (super delicious and very good quality as it wasn't the generic rings. The red marinara sauce was the bomb!!) and Buffalo flavor chicken wings ( huge and juicy and the flavor was just on point!! High recommended!!) As for the main course, 4 of us got the Dave's Favorite Burger which included 2 sides. I opted for the cole slaw and corn on the Cobb. Both tasted horrible, I do not recommend those sides. The corn had 0 taste and cole sale was okay but I like KFC's coleslaw better. The little one had rhe kid's meal chicken tenders with fries. Of course we didn't drive all the way down to Dave'a without trying the famous oysters here. We ordered the Kenny baked oyster (3 cheese, chipotle, bacon, and jalapeno) and also the rockachoke baked oyster(artichoke, spinach, shredded parmesan, and bacon). There are my 2 favorite baked oysters here. We also had a bowl of Dave's gumbo and clam chowder. Both taste amazing!! Waitress service was awesome and just the best here!' Like in my previous review, if your in town in the Pensacola/Navarre/Gulfbreeze area and want some awesome oysters and wings, this a must stop!!!! The price has gone up alittle but that's expected with the inflation these days, but still well worth it. I have attached updated menu and food photos below.
